Topic: “Treatment Challenges in Opsoclonus Myoclonus Ataxia Syndrome”

In the second YEPNS Case Discussion Webinar we will talk about a rare autoimmune condition – Opsoclonus myoclonus ataxia syndrome (OMAS) and its Treatment Challenges. The onset of OMAS is usually abrupt, often severe, and it can become a chronic condition. OMAS typically occurs in association with tumors (neuroblastoma) or following a viral or bacterial infection. We will present two similar clinical cases with different outcomes, we will discuss about the prognosis, treatment strategies, prognostic features, and long-term outcomes. We have prepared few good questions to our Senior Mentor. Are you also interested in these clinical challenges? Join us!

Senior Mentor: Dr Rinze Neuteboom, Department of Neurology, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

YEPNS Presenter: Dr Dace Seile, Department of Paediatric Neurology, Children’s Clinical University Hospital, Riga, Latvia.

YEPNS Moderator: Dr Lelde Liepina, Children’s Clinical University Hospital, Department of Paediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery, Riga, Latvia
