The Health and Social Care Committee will be holding an inquiry into the impact on health and social care of leaving the European Union without a withdrawal agreement (commonly referred to as a ‘no deal’ Brexit).

For the next few weeks, the Committee is inviting written submissions from all interested parties on what impact a no deal Brexit is likely to have on patients and the health and social care system. Submissions will be accepted until Monday 15 October.

This presents a great opportunity to raise awareness of the issues affecting rare disease patients and families, and make sure they are heard in upcoming Brexit negotiations. As a no deal Brexit is likely to have a large impact on our members, we are holding a webinar to help our members respond to the inquiry.

Join our Director of Policy, Nick Meade, and Chief Executive, Dr Jayne Spink, on Wednesday 3 Oct at 12:30 to find out how you can constructively contribute to this consultation, and ask any questions you have on Brexit and rare diseases.
