The 8th Annual Meeting of the ERN EpiCARE will take place in Salzburg from June 10th to 13th 2025. It will feature a rich programme of workshops led by our various working groups, offering a platform for in-depth exchange, strategic planning, and knowledge sharing across disciplines. The General Assembly will allow us to present to the Board of Network representatives the core of our past 12 months activities.
We would like to share with you the first version of the program for our upcoming Annual Meeting. On the first day, we’ll have the face-to-face Executive Committee meeting and an Invited Scientific Lecture by Pr. Matthew WALKER. Wednesday is reserved for the General Assembly, with representatives from EpiCARE members, partners, and patient advocates. In the afternoon, EpiCARE Working Group Sessions begin, continuing on Thursday. A “Training Workshop on Genetic Test Prescription & Interpretation for Early-Career Neurologists” will run in parallel. And on Friday, the “Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome Guidelines Group” will take place.
You will soon receive a more detailed version of the programme, as well as confirmation of your accommodation bookings, and the links for those of you joining online.
Arrival Options to Salzburg
Salzburg, while not the easiest city to reach, offers several transport options for those wishing to visit. Below are some of the best ways to get to this city:
Arrival by Train
Trains from cities in southern Germany, Switzerland, northern Italy, and within Austria are a convenient and efficient option. It is recommended to use the services of Westbahn and ÖBB.Arrival by Plane
Several air routes are available for reaching Salzburg:a) Via Munich: You can fly into Munich and then take a train to Munich Central Station, followed by a 1.5-hour train ride to Salzburg.
b) Via Vienna International Airport: From Vienna Airport, there are direct high-speed train connections to Salzburg (ÖBB), with an estimated travel time of 2.5 to 3 hours.
c) Via Frankfurt: You can fly to Frankfurt and then take a direct flight to Salzburg. Salzburg Airport is small and convenient, but a plane change in Frankfurt is required.
