The ERN EpiCARE was launched in 2017, as part of the 24 ERNs accredited and funded by the European Commission. Feel free to navigate through the pages and dropdown lists of our website to learn more about EpiCARE:

Members

Get to know the physicians, the project management team, the patient advocates involved with EpiCARE and the rare epilepsies community.

In 2024, following the 2 EU4Health calls launched by DG SANTE, EpiCARE has 50 members, accredited by the European Commission:

61 HCPs are members of ERN EpiCARE:

  • 38 Full Members (including 6 Consortia)
  • 10 affiliated members (1 Consortium)
  • 2 Member States with a Coordination Hub

Accredited centers are present in 23/27 European Union countries and in Norway. Several supporting medical teams in the European region closely collaborate with EpiCARE.

The network is coordinated by Pr. Alexis Arzimanoglou, Director of the Epilepsy program at the Barcelona, Spain, Children’s hospital, San Juan de Dios (HSJD).
